Refinish Limited repairs dents, scratches, scuffs and scrapes, whether that's minor cosmetic damage or a more involved non-structural accident repair — including the supply, paint and fit of replacement bumpers, wings, doors and bonnets, where replacement is the better route.
Proper car body repairs, not just touch-ups
This is core workshop work: traditional panel beating and paint repairs, SMART repairs for smaller, localised damage, and cosmetic repairs — giving you the most appropriate solution for the job. Where replacement panels are needed — bumpers, wings, doors, bonnets and other bolt-on parts — they're handled in-house as part of the same service.
Where a panel can be repaired and refinished, that's usually the better route on cost and turnaround time. Where the damage means replacement is the sounder option, we supply, paint and fit the new panel ourselves, matched to the rest of the vehicle.
We set a clear boundary here: this service does not cover structural welding, chassis alignment or full vehicle resprays. Where a job needs that kind of work, we'll tell you plainly and point you elsewhere.
Hybrid and electric vehicles need the same manufacturer-method approach to bodywork, with one added consideration: working safely around battery packs and high-voltage components during panel and bumper work. We hold IMI TechSafe recognition for working safely on hybrid and electric vehicles, so EV and hybrid bodywork is handled with that in mind, not treated as an afterthought.

How we decide
It's a fair thing to wonder: how do you know we're not just recommending the costlier replacement to pad the bill? Every job is assessed purely on the damage in front of us, not the invoice. In general:
Repair the existing panel when...
- Damage is cosmetic — scuffs, scratches, small dents
- The panel's structural integrity is unaffected
- Moulded texture (on plastic parts) can be matched closely enough on the repaired area
- It's the more cost-effective route for you
Replace the panel when...
- The panel is cracked, torn or has pieces missing
- Moulded texture on plastic parts can't be reliably matched on the repaired area
- A replacement gives a better long-term result
- Manufacturer guidance calls for replacement

What is a SMART repair?
SMART stands for Small to Medium Area Repair Technique — a set of quicker, more localised repair methods for smaller cosmetic damage, like a scuff, small dent or scratch, without needing to remove, refinish or replace the whole panel. It's one of several methods we use alongside traditional panel beating and full-panel refinishing, chosen on whichever gives the best result for the damage in front of us.
Do you repair hybrid and electric vehicle bodywork?
Yes. We hold IMI TechSafe recognition for working safely on hybrid and electric vehicles, which matters for panel and bumper work carried out near battery packs and high-voltage components. The paint and repair process itself follows the same manufacturer methods we use on any vehicle.
Can a cracked or split bumper be repaired, or does it need replacing?
Often, yes — plastic bumpers can usually be welded and repaired rather than replaced, depending on the size, location and severity of the crack. The main factor is whether the damage reaches a parking sensor, camera or radar mount built into the bumper — part of your vehicle's ADAS driver-assistance systems — since damage near these is harder to repair reliably and replacement is often the safer route. Where a repair is realistic, it's usually the more economical option; where it isn't, we'll tell you plainly and quote for replacement instead.
How much does a bumper scuff repair cost in Stirling?
Costs vary with the size of the damage and the colour involved, since some finishes take longer to match than others. As a general guide, cosmetic bumper repairs are one of our most common and most affordable jobs — the quickest way to get an accurate figure is through our quote journey.
Can I trust the colour match on my repair?
Yes. We identify your vehicle's exact colour using spectrophotometer technology before any paint is mixed, then prepare it in a dedicated mixing room. This is the same approach used for both repaired panels and replacement panels, so the finish is consistent across the vehicle. How long does a typical body repair take?
A straightforward scuff, scratch or dent repair is often completed within a few working days, while panel replacement can take a little longer depending on parts availability. We'll give you a realistic timescale once we've assessed the damage.
Do you carry out structural or chassis repairs?
No. Refinish Limited focuses on cosmetic and non-structural body repairs and refinishing. Structural welding and chassis alignment fall outside our workshop's scope, and we'll say so clearly if your vehicle needs that kind of work.
Can you supply and fit a replacement panel, or do I need to source one myself?
We handle the whole job in-house — sourcing the correct replacement panel, painting it to match your vehicle, and fitting it in our workshop — so you're not coordinating between separate suppliers.

Scrapes repaired and repainted within 36 hours
A customer got in touch after bashing the front right wing of his Honda eHEV, leaving a series of scrapes across the panel. We repaired the damage and colour-matched the repaint to the rest of the car, with the whole job completed in under 36 hours.
