Choose how to start

Path 01

Book a Workshop Estimate

Best if the damage needs to be inspected in person, or you'd like advice before deciding how to proceed.

  • Damage that's difficult to photograph clearly
  • Possible hidden damage behind a bumper, panel or trim
  • Multiple damaged areas
  • You're considering an insurance claim

Path 02

Upload Photos for an Online Estimate

Best for clear, cosmetic damage that can be photographed properly.

  • Minor dents, scratches or scuffs
  • Damage where the full affected area is visible
  • Simple damage a few clear photos can show completely

Path 03

Ask for Guidance First

Not sure whether to pay privately, claim through your own insurance, or use a non-fault claims support route? Tell us what's happened and we'll give you an honest steer.

Email Your Question

Not sure which to pick? Book a workshop estimate — it's the safer route if damage might be hidden, awkward to photograph, or affected by panel gaps or impact.

What does it cost? A standard retail estimate is free. If your insurer specifically requires an Audatex assessment as part of an insurance claim, this carries a refundable charge of £70 + VAT — deducted from any excess payable, or refunded in full once the repair is completed if no excess applies.

"This was first class service from Mike at Refinish. From posting pics of the damage, to the quote — which was the best one I had. And the work itself is fantastic — you'd never know it had collided with a stone wall! Beautiful job and Mike was very professional throughout. I'd highly recommend Refinish!"

Taking your own photos?

  • One photo showing the whole affected side of the vehicle
  • One photo from a few steps back showing the damaged panel
  • Close-up photos of the damage itself
  • Extra angles if the damage looks different in changing light
  • Any broken clips, trims, lights or panel gaps

Avoid photos that are too close, blurry, dark, or taken with strong reflections across the damage.

What happens next

Simple, reassuring, professional

If you book a workshop estimate: you'll receive confirmation of your booking. When you arrive, we'll inspect the vehicle, discuss the damage with you, and advise on the most suitable repair route — preparing an estimate after the inspection where possible.

If you upload photos for an online estimate: your details and photos are reviewed, and if they're clear enough we'll prepare an estimate and email it over. If we need more information, better photos, or an in-person look before pricing the repair, we'll let you know.

If you email a question: it goes straight to Mike, who'll reply directly with an honest steer on the right route for your situation.

Whichever route you take, if insurance or non-fault claims support is the better option, we'll help you set that up rather than leaving you to work it out alone.
