Proud to support Titans PFC
Every so often a job comes in that's about more than paintwork. We've had the privilege of colour-matching bumpers for a couple of the young players at Titans Powerchair Football Club, and more recently painting a set of newly fabricated goalposts for the team — a brand-new club based right here in Central Scotland, and we wanted to help spread the word about what they're building.
Football, at speed, for players who use wheelchairs
Powerchair football is a fast-paced, competitive version of the game built for people who use wheelchairs. Players use specialist powerchairs fitted with a guard to move, pass, tackle and strike the ball — the chair itself becomes part of the game, not just a way of getting around it.
It's genuinely competitive, not just a gentler version of football for spectators to feel good about — it takes real skill, strategy and teamwork, alongside the speed and physicality you'd expect from any football pitch.
Titans PFC — stronger together, Titans forever
Titans PFC is a brand-new powerchair football club based in Central Scotland, giving children, young people and adults who use wheelchairs the chance to play, develop and compete in the sport. No previous experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a desire to be part of a team.
The club describes itself as being about more than what happens on the pitch — belonging, supporting one another, and being part of something bigger. They're proudly part of the Scottish Powerchair Football community, working alongside Scottish Para-Football, the SPFA and the Scottish Football Association to grow the game and create pathways for the next generation of players.
Since launching, they've already built a genuine following — proof of exactly the kind of appetite for inclusive sport this part of Scotland clearly has.
A local connection, on and off the pitch
Titans PFC is based in Central Scotland, with several of the team's families — including players we've come to know ourselves — based around Falkirk. When the chance came up to get involved in a small way, it felt like an easy yes.
We've had the genuine pleasure of painting the bumpers on a couple of the team's powerchairs, colour-matched to each player's own chair — the same care and attention we'd put into any vehicle that comes through our doors, just on a smaller scale. It makes a nice change from our usual work, too: unlike the cars that come through our doors, these bumpers are actually meant to get bumped — that's rather the point of the game. More recently, we've also painted a set of newly fabricated goalposts for the team. It's some of the most meaningful paintwork we've done, and we're glad to have been asked.
